AFLAC INC provides supplemental health and life insurance products and related financial protection through its consolidated operating companies. It offers cancer, medical and nursing care insurance in Japan; accident, disability, critical illness, hospital indemnity, dental, vision and term/whole life products in the U.S.; and asset management, reinsurance and related services. The company reports operations through two primary segments, Aflac Japan and Aflac U.S., with Corporate and other activities that include Aflac Re and asset management. It distributes products in Japan and the U.S. via agents and independent agencies, brokers, affiliated corporate channels (including banks and Japan Post), employer worksite/group platforms, distribution partners and direct/digital channels.
