METLIFE INC provides global financial services focused on insurance, annuities, employee benefits and asset management and serves as a large institutional investor through its general account investments. The company offers life, dental, disability, accident & health, vision, annuities, retirement and savings products, stable value and structured settlement solutions, as well as asset management and reinsurance services. MetLife operates through six primary segments: Group Benefits; Retirement and Income Solutions (RIS); Asia; Latin America; EMEA; and MetLife Holdings, plus Corporate & Other. It sells products to corporations, institutions and individuals across the U.S., Asia, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and other international markets via proprietary sales forces, agencies, bancassurance, brokers, consultants and direct channels.
