It offers commercial, residential and consumer lending; retail and commercial deposit products; mortgage origination and servicing; investment securities and wholesale funding; and wealth management, trust and fiduciary services. Its principal business units include the Washington Trust Company (bank), a registered investment adviser subsidiary (WTA), and a mortgage banking subsidiary (WTMC), plus special purpose financing trusts. Washington Trust operates primarily in southern New England—Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts—delivering services through branch offices, ATMs, digital channels and brokered/secondary-market arrangements.
