Eastern Bankshares, Inc. is a bank holding company and the sole shareholder of Eastern Bank that provides a range of banking, trust and investment services through its bank subsidiary. It offers deposit accounts, commercial and consumer lending (including commercial real estate, construction, small business, residential mortgage and home equity), wealth management, trust and fiduciary services, cash management, and mortgage origination and servicing. Its operations consist principally of its banking segment, a wealth management division branded Cambridge Trust Wealth Management, and several bank-controlled subsidiaries supporting securities, real estate and tax credit investments. The company primarily serves the greater Boston metropolitan area—eastern and central Massachusetts, southern New Hampshire and northern Rhode Island—through a branch network, digital channels and institutional and municipal relationships.
