Recent Accounting Pronouncements Not Yet Adopted
In November 2024, the FASB issued Accounting Standards Update (“ASU”) No. 2024-03, Income Statement—Reporting Comprehensive Income—Expense Disaggregation Disclosures (“ASU 220-40”). The ASU requires disclosure, in the notes to financial statements, of specified information about certain costs and expenses, including purchases of inventory, employee compensation, depreciation, and intangible asset amortization included in each relevant expense caption. Additionally, the amendment requires a qualitative description of the amounts remaining in the relevant expense captions that are not separately disaggregated quantitatively, and to disclose the total amount of selling expenses and, in annual reporting periods, an entity’s definition of selling expenses. For public business entities, the new guidance is effective for annual reporting periods beginning after December 15, 2026, and interim reporting periods beginning after December 15, 2027, with early adoption permitted. An entity may apply the amendments prospectively for reporting periods after the effective date or retrospectively to any or all prior periods presented in the financial statements. The Company is currently evaluating the impact of adoption, which is expected to have an impact on disclosures only with no impact on the Company’s results.
In July 2025, the FASB issued ASU 2025-05, Financial Instruments - Credit Losses - Measurement of Credit Losses for Accounts Receivable and Contract Assets (“ASU 2025-05”). ASU 2025-05 provides a practical expedient that all entities can use when estimating expected credit losses for current accounts receivable and current contract assets arising from transactions accounted for under ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers. Under this practical expedient, an entity is allowed to assume that the current conditions it has applied in determining credit loss allowances for current accounts receivable and current contract assets remain unchanged for the remaining life of those assets. ASU 2025-05 is effective for fiscal years beginning after December 15, 2025, and interim reporting periods in those years. Entities that elect the practical expedient and, if applicable, make the accounting policy election are required to apply the amendments prospectively. The Company is currently evaluating the impact of ASU 2025-05 on its financial statements and disclosures.
In September 2025, the FASB issued ASU No. 2025-06, Intangibles—Goodwill and Other—Internal-Use Software (“ASU 2025-06”). The ASU eliminates references to project stages and introduces a principles-based “probable-to-complete” capitalization threshold, meaning entities can capitalize internal-use software costs when management has approved and funded the project and it’s probable the software will be completed and used as intended. These changes are intended to reflect current iterative development practices and take effect for annual periods beginning after December 15, 2027, with early adoption permitted. The Company is currently evaluating the impact of adoption.
In December 2025, the FASB issued ASU 2025-11, Interim Reporting - Narrow-Scope Improvements (“ASU 2025-11”). The amendments in ASU 2025-11 clarify current interim disclosure requirements and provide a comprehensive list of required interim disclosures. The update also incorporates a disclosure principle that requires entities to disclose events that occur after the end of the last annual reporting period. ASU 2025-11 is effective for interim periods within annual periods beginning after December 15, 2027, though early adoption is permitted. The Company does not expect ASU 2025-11 to have a material effect on its consolidated financial statements and disclosures.
Recent Accounting Pronouncements Adopted
In December 2023, the FASB issued ASU No. 2023-09, Improvements to Income Tax Disclosures (“ASU 2023-09”). Under ASU 2023-09, public benefit entities must disclose specific categories and provide additional information in the tax rate reconciliation if the effect of those reconciling items is equal to or greater than 5 percent of the amount computed by multiplying pretax income or loss by the applicable statutory income tax rate. ASU 2023-09 also requires entities to disaggregate income taxes paid by federal, foreign, and state and local jurisdictions, with further breakdown for significant individual jurisdictions. The amendments from ASU 2023-09 are effective for annual periods beginning after December 15, 2024. The Company adopted ASU 2023-09 for the year ended December 31, 2025 on a prospective basis.
