The company operates through three reportable segments: Energy (petroleum refining and wholesale/retail distribution of fuels, propane and lubricants), Ag (grain marketing, oilseed processing, renewable fuels production, and agronomy retail), and Nitrogen Production (equity investment in CF Industries Nitrogen). CHS serves members and nonmembers through refinery operations in Montana and Kansas, approximately 400 agri-operation retail locations, export terminals, wholesale agronomy distribution, and commodity risk-management services.
